"1 star is too much. I am extremely disappointed with State Farm and specifically the service I received through Jay Ellett’s office. After experiencing storm damage, something completely out of my control, I filed a legitimate claim. Instead of supporting me through the process, State Farm chose to drop my insurance shortly after. I was actually told that if I made this claim, I'd be dropped. But what is insurance for if I have have to pay out of pocket when a natural disaster occurs? This was shocking, especially after I provided them with the exact amount they had previously paid out for storm damage. What made the situation worse was that when I filed the claim, they didn’t even want to pay the full amount owed. I had to contact the Department of Insurance just to get the remaining $3,500 that was due to me. On top of that, I had already paid a $2,500 deductible, so having to fight for the rest was unacceptable. No customer should have to battle their own insurance company to receive what they’re rightfully owed—especially after a natural disaster. I’ve since learned that many others have had similar experiences with State Farm being quick to drop policyholders after legitimate claims. I would never recommend State Farm or Jay Ellett’s office. When you pay your premiums year after year, the least you should expect is fair treatment when you actually need help. Unfortunately, that was not my experience."
"Ebony, I'm sorry you had to deal with the weather claim and that you had to deal with the other issues you had with your beautiful new home. The discussion I have with you regarding the impact of multiple claims was referencing all carriers' decisions on whether or not to renew policies are, based in part, on claims history. In your case, the decision that was made was based on a total number of claims filed in an initial, nineteen-month policy history, not just the most recently filed claim as it likely would not have singular prompted a non-renewal. I would rather have an uncomfortable conversation, discussing what to expect at renewal, with any carrier in the industry, right or wrong, rather than you simply receiving a letter in the mail. As far as having problems/issues with recovering the 'final $3500.' The last time we spoke, July 30th, I provided you with information you requested when you told me you weren't able to hire a contractor and discussed the supplemental invoice process if necessary. Furthermore, I advised you to reach out to me if you had any issues with having your home repaired or anything else related to your claim. When I checked the claim 30 days later it was closed with an updated estimate having been attached and full remaining payment having been made to you for $3056.48, twenty-three days after we talked. I take claims settlements seriously and want to make sure insureds are paid what they are owed. I have called the claims department and requested a copy of your complaint to review against the claim documents and payments. In short, the complaint made, and the payments made were not accurately represented in the remarks your made here. Please contact me if you feel you are due more than we have paid and I will review any invoices/info/pictures and submit them to claims for review. "

"Karen said I needed full coverage to cover a car that is broke downcar . Tried to just get comprehensive only and she told me that I had to have full coverage. She needs to fix what she did to my account. Don't come to this office. Very miss leading."
"Jeremy, we are sorry you aren't happy with our agency's handling of your coverage requests. Karen was walking you thru the requirements of having to have liability coverage in place on a vehicle that has a tag on it in order to prevent you from getting a fine from the state. When you indicated you didn't want to turn the tag in that's when she advised you would need to keep liability in place along with the comprehensive you were requesting, not 'full coverage.' We always make sure to make our insureds aware of state requirements as we don't want any fines, and potentially license suspensions, to occur in case of multiple fines. Please contact me so I can address your concerns further."
